Carmen M. Ortiz has been elected as Vice-Chair of Adelphi University’s Board of Trustees, which is the most diverse in the University’s 125-year history. An alumna, honoree, and member of the board since 2018, Carmen is the first Latina to serve in this role and she will help lead the board as they plan and launch a new five-year strategic plan, Momentum II.

Adelphi is a school that I love because it gave me the foundation to become the person I am today and I hope to give back to its students and community through my experience, commitment, and passion.”
