Anderson & Kreiger is pleased to participate in the Legal Affairs Committee Workshop of the Airports Council International-North America (ACI-NA) 2022 Annual Conference on September 17 – 18, 2022, in Minneapolis, MN. The conference brings together airport legal professionals and consultants to identify and discuss the most pressing legal developments and issues associated with the airport industry.
Mina Makarious will speak on a panel regarding environmental, social, and governance (ESG) reporting and disclosures. The panel will discuss the legal, business, and political ramifications of developing and implementing ESG initiatives at the airport.
Christina Marshall will speak on a panel regarding practical legal issues raised by the use of technology at airports. The panel will explore issues related to artificial intelligence, licensing, privacy, open records requirements, and insurance, among others.
TJ Roskelley will be on a panel called “Changed Circumstances”, where he will talk about how grant assurances and other federal obligations may impact how airports react to sudden change.
Melissa Allison and Christina Marshall will both be a part of the litigation update panel where they will talk about Anderson & Kreiger’s work securing dismissal of federal claims against our client the County of Orange, CA, concerning access to John Wayne Airport brought by the air carrier Delux Public Charter (d/b/a JSX Air); our representation of the City of Los Angeles and the Massachusetts Port Authority in litigation against the web-based “peer-to-peer” rental car company, Turo, Inc.; and our work for the City of Santa Monica to resolve a years-long dispute concerning use of airport revenue.
