Anderson & Kreiger Welcomes Kristina Chemareva, Carlos Rosende, and Matthew Spencer as Summer Associates

Anderson & Kreiger is proud to announce our 2022 class of summer associates. Kristina Chemareva, Carlos Rosende, and Matthew Spencer joined A&K this month.  The firm has developed a robust program adapted to a hybrid work environment that will give our class of summer associates meaningful professional development opportunities within each of our practice areas.

Kristina Chemareva, a Suffolk University Law School 2L, is a Suffolk University Law Review staff member and recipient of the 2021 Best Brief and Distinguished Oral Advocate Awards. Previously, Kristina was summer counsel at the Harvard Legal Aid Bureau where she represented clients in administrative hearings and mediations. Kristina enjoys tennis, running, and yoga.  She is also a certified wine specialist.

Carlos Rosende is a Harvard Law School 2L and former Navy Officer. Previously, Carlos interned at the Massachusetts Senate, Office of the Senate Counsel where he worked on matters ranging from the Governor’s emergency powers related to the COVID-19 pandemic to the unionization of public employees.  Carlos enjoys fly fishing and spending time outdoors with his wife and son.

Matthew Spencer, an Elon University Law 1L, was a member of the Clemson University Academic Hearing Board, Vice Chair of the Health and Human Services Committee, and Clerk of the Clemson Student Senate; member of the American Criminal Justice Association, recipient of the National Academy of Future Scientist & Technologist Excellence Award, acted as interim chair of Repeal the Heritage Act’s student board and he served as an ACC Student Leadership Symposium delegate.  Matthew enjoys fishing, reading, weightlifting, and axe throwing.
