Anderson & Kreiger’s Nina Pickering-Cook was a Panelist at the 2018 NACUA Annual Conference

Nina Pickering-Cook, a partner in the Construction industry practice group, was a panelist at the 2018 NACUA (National Association of College and University Attorneys) Annual conference.  Each year the conference brings together nearly two thousand higher education attorneys to discuss current issues and legal developments in the field of higher education law.  Nina led a panel on “Conquering Construction Contracts: An Introduction to Drafting, Negotiating, and Interpreting Construction Contracts.”

The panel gave an overview of:

• Key relationships in construction contracting;
• common delivery methods for construction projects, including: Design-bid-build, Design-build, and Construction Manager at Risk; and
• important provisions to watch for as an owner in any construction contract.
