Jessica advises clients in the private and public sectors on environmental and land use issues. She provides strategic counsel on permitting and transactional matters, compliance issues, due diligence, and project development.
Jessica’s environmental experience spans a wide range of issues. She frequently works with a national utility to help them navigate the permitting of complex energy infrastructure projects in New England. In addition, Jessica advises a non-profit environmental group regarding a large tidal restoration project, and helps clients assess various waterfront permitting and planning concerns. She serves as part of the common counsel team on a Superfund site in New England, and advises public sector clients on solar development projects. Jessica is also a co-author on the MCLE treatise concerning Chapter 91 and waterfront rights in Massachusetts.
Jessica maintains an active pro bono practice. She is part of the legal team that successfully brought suit against the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to compel issuance of a rule concerning graphic warning labels on tobacco products, and Jessica also works with Oceana to advance its goal of protecting the world’s oceans.
Jessica lives in East Boston with her husband. In her spare time, she can be found cooking, reading, practicing yoga, or hiking in the National Parks.
