On January 27, 2022, Anderson & Kreiger attorneys gathered online to urge lawmakers to include $41 million for civil legal aid in the FY23 budget.
Anderson & Kreiger attorneys also participated in the Equal Justice Coalition’s social media campaign to help bring awareness that, unlike criminal defendants, people facing serious civil legal problems do not always have the right to an attorney. Additional funding is needed for legal aid organizations to provide essential representation and advice about basic human needs like health, safety, and housing.
