Matthew Bowser and Marissa Grenon, two of the firm’s 2021 Summer Associates, returned to the firm as Associates in September 2022.
Matthew rejoins Anderson & Kreiger after graduating from Boston College Law School where he was co-President of the Criminal Law Society, Vice President of the Student Veterans Association, and a member of the Black Law Students Association. Prior to law school, Matthew served in the United States Army. He also interned at the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, the Department of Justice Civil Rights Division, and Oxfam America. While interning at Oxfam, he helped Oxfam develop options for legal actions against officials responsible for Mozambique’s ‘Hidden Debt Scandal.’
Marissa rejoins Anderson & Kreiger after graduating from Northeastern University School of Law and Yale School of the Environment. During law school, she was a member of the Northeastern Environmental Law Society and Associate Editor of the Northeastern University Law Review. During her time at Yale, she focused on biological oceanography, wetlands, and coastal ecosystem restoration. She recently interned for the U.S. Department of Justice, Environmental and Natural Resources Division, where she worked on Clean Water Act enforcement matters. She also interned for Boston Harbor Now, where she worked on climate resilience strategies for East Boston’s industrial waterfront. Marissa served as a law clerk for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Region 1 Office of Regional Counsel. Prior to law school, Marissa worked as a research assistant at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health on a team studying disparities in pregnancy exposure to endocrine-disrupting chemicals in personal care products.
