Kuong is both a litigation and transactional associate handling real estate, airports, environmental, and public law matters. Prior to joining Anderson & Kreiger, he worked at the Boston office of a large law firm where he focused his practice on advising commercial, municipal, and non-profit clients on land use and permitting matters.
Before entering private practice, Kuong clerked on both state and federal courts. He was a law clerk to the Honorable Rosemary S. Pooler of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, the Honorable Miranda M. Du of the United States District Court for the District of Nevada, and the Honorable Michael D. Vhay of the Massachusetts Land Court. He began his legal career as a legal aid attorney in Massachusetts representing indigent clients involved in foreclosure and domestic violence disputes.
Kuong earned his law degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, where he was a member of the David J. Epstein Program in Public Interest Law and Policy and the Critical Race Studies program and was awarded the Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowship for New Americans. He holds graduate degrees from the University of Cambridge and the University of Essex, attending both institutions as a British Marshall Scholar. He received his undergraduate degree from Boston College, where he was awarded the Finnegan Award, the university’s highest academic honor, and the Harry S. Truman Scholarship.
Kuong currently resides in Brookline. As a former resident of Cambridge, he served on the Mayor’s Blue-Ribbon Task Force on Tenant Displacement and the City’s Human Rights Commission. In his free time, he enjoys eating a good bánh mì sandwich and planning his next travel destination in search of said sandwich and other culinary delights.
